Letters of Recommendation

Not all colleges require letters of recommendation.  Check the school’s website or call the admissions office for information regarding the need for letters of recommendation.  If you will require letters of recommendation from teachers or other adults, you should complete the hellow Teacher Letter of Recommendation Request Form which is available in the College Center. You should not ask more than 2 teachers.  These letters are confidential.

Note that teachers should be allowed at least 3 weeks to write your letter.  If a deadline may be a problem, point out the date on the request form to the teachers and make sure they will be able to complete the letter at least 10 school days prior to the application deadline.   The teacher letter of recommendation must be in Naviance before Mrs. Schmitz can send your materials.
