Short Bio/About Me:
I really love teaching health education and I am so happy to be teaching Health and Human Biology and Stress Management at Washington Technology Magnet School !
This is my 13th year teaching health education, and I look forward to many more years ahead teaching in the field of health education. I have a B.A. degree in Secondary Health Education and a Master's of Public Health Degree. Before starting at Washington Technology, I taught in White Bear Lake, and in Florida.
I have 3 teenage children of my own. I enjoy being outside in nature, hiking, swimming, gardening, and photography. I enjoy staying up to date on current health and wellness information and initiatives. I am active in church and community organizations, including being a board member of Jeremiah's Hope For Kindness, a kindness promotion and bullying prevention non-profit.
Class Information :
For Health and Human Biology course : The health education curriculum is in place to meet the National Health Education and Saint Paul Public Schools standards. Health Education is crucial to enhance the overall health and well-being of students and their communities. This health education class will provide students with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills to make healthy decisions for life-ling health and wellness.
For Stress Management course : Stress Management is a comprehensive workshop course designed to give students the opportunity to learn and practice stress management life skills that incorporates healthy living practices and relaxation techniques. This holistic approach to stress management will provide students with life skills that students can use to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and promote positive well-being.
