The quote above expresses Mr. Rolig's belief that, while no school is perfect, Washington works hard at building relationships with students that are based on empathy, creating a safer place to learn and grow.

Mr. Rolig has been teaching English language arts at Washington since 2010. He has taught both middle school and high school students in diverse environments in the twin cities and overseas (China and Malawi, Africa).

 

Mr. Rolig enjoys the competition of all sports, the challenge of camping, and walking his lemon beagle, Pip. He lives in South Minneapolis with his spouse and two daughters.  

 

As a writing teacher, Mr. Rolig believes in the power of handwritten work in a notebook.
