Peterson, LynnMarie B
Ms. Peterson is the seventh grade health teacher at Washington Technology Magnet School. At Washington Technology, students study the human body systems at the same time they learn about health concepts. For example, when students learn about fitness, they also learn about the musculoskeletal system. When students learn about nutrition, they investigate the digestive and circulatory systems, and when they learn about tobacco and alcohol, their learning is paired with information about the respiratory and nervous systems. This integrated curricular approach, which combines contemporary health topics with an in-depth look at human body systems, provides a comprehensive learning opportunity for students, which in turn will provide them with a strong educational foundation. The Health and Human Biology class is a required "signature" BioSMART class at Washington Technology Magnet School.
