Hello!  I'm Ms. Parker and I love math!  I've been teaching here in SPPS for the past 22 years and have taught everything from basic skills to AP calculus.

I grew up in the Chicago-land area, graduated from h.s. and went to Iowa State University.  At ISU, I earned a B.S. in mathematics in 1986.  I taught for a few yearsand then moved up here to Minneapolis--I love winter and snow and skating, skiing, playing broomball, etc.  Went back to school and earned an A.S. in medical laboratory technology in 1992.   I worked at HCMC for a number of years and eventually found my way back to teaching math here in SPPS!  In 2004, I began my masters degree back at ISU and finished with an M.S.M. in August 2006.

I have a cat named Spike.  She's a fluffy little princess.  Spike was a stray cat that lived under a friend's front porch.  I took her in and kept the name they had given her.  She loves her little catnip mouse.

I adpoted a kitten, Moe, a few years ago who was quite the little terror!

He has mellowed quite a bit, but Spike is NOT sure she likes having this stinky boy around!  :)

I was lucky enough to go to London to see the 2012 summer Olympics.  I got to see badminton matches, and field hockey, too.  It was a great trip!

This year at Washington will be my last year teaching in SPPS! I will be teaching CIS College Algebra Through Modelling and AVID 11 & 12 classes, and I am also working on the possibility of having your 2021 prom!
