Lahr, Jason
Bio: This is my first year at Washington Technology Magnet. I started teaching 13 years ago in the St. Anthony School District. I also taught in Spring Lake Park before coming to St. Paul. I spent my first seven years, in the St. Paul District, at Battle Creek Middle School before coming here. My educational background did not lead me directly into education. Previous to teaching I graduated from St. John's University with a Biology degree followed by a Masters in Exercise Science. Several years after graduating, I went back to school and received a Masters Degree in Special Education from St. Thomas. Since achieving this degree I have taught math, study skills, and Read 180 and co-taught reading, physical science, and math 6.
Outside of school, I am always on the run. I am always doing something. I love hanging out with my girlfriend and family, fishing, hunting, kayaking, hitting the gym, dog training, waterskiing, traveling, working on my house, and just being outside. The last little trip I took was to the North Shore for three days.
I currently live in White Bear lake with my dog. I have family that live in the cities, while other family members living near St. Cloud. We are a very close family and I try to get back as much as possible.
As I said, I am new to Washington this year and I am excited to be here. The staff is great and I have met some really great students!
