Dandridge, Lyle
Hello visitor, thanks for stopping by.
A little bit about myself, I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and have been a St. Paul resident since 2015. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and enjoy telling students that I've gone to college for more years than they have been in K-12 schooling. I graduated from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Biology in 2004. After that, I took a year off and worked as a microbiologist before attending Loyola University Chicago and graduating with a M.S. in Biology (Ecology) in 2010. Last year (2017) I finished my M.A. in Teaching from Bethel University. Currently, I'm finishing a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Before teaching high school, I have had many different jobs and life experiences that I use to enrich my classes and help me connect with my diverse student population. Some things that I find especially useful are having been: 1) a licensed personal trainer, 2) a martial arts instructor, 3) a research scientist (insects/ecology) and 4) a college instructor. Presently I teach Biology, and SPC Nutrition and am excited to teach additional courses in the future.
