Chinese language program has been offered at Washington since 2011. The program begins from Chinese 510 and Chinse 1; and now it grows, including Chinese 2, 3 and 4.

The Chinese program also offers CIS Chinese, College in School (CIS) in Chinese. It is a college class from the University of Minnesota: Chinese 1011 from the Modern Language Department at the University of Minnesota. The student who has successfully completed the one year Modern Chinese 1011will receive 6 credit hours from the University of Minnesota. Those course credits (B and above) can be transferred to any 800 colleges and universities within the States.

The requirement for sign-up CIS Chinese: a student who has to have two year Chinese, (Chinese 1 and 2) and has to have average B and above grade for the year long course.

The Chinese program also offers opportunities to further develop the language skills through language camps, study tours within the United States and outside the United States. The study tour is for helping student to develop more language skills and to apply what have already learned language skills. (Please visit the photo gallery)

The Chinese language prgram is to follow the ACTFL language standard as well as Saint Paul School District Language Curriculum and Standard.
