Welcome to Washington Technology Middle School Music!

We offer a variety of classes to suit your musical interests. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, there's a class for you.

Our beginning courses are designed for students who are new to music. In Beginning Guitar and Piano, you'll learn the fundamentals of playing your instrument, including basic notes, reading, music theory, chords, and skills to continue learning after you’ve completed the course. Our Beginning Band and Orchestra classes are perfect for students who want to join a group and play with others, and become a family of friends and musicians. Intermediate courses are for students who have completed a year of instruction and want to further develop their skills, and continue becoming the best musicians they can be.

All grades are welcome to join our music program, but we ask for a commitment to the entire semester. Band and Orchestra classes are year long, so students should expect to be in the ensemble for an entire year. Band and Orchestra students perform in concerts throughout the year, showcasing their talents and hard work.

Instruments in band are those such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, french horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion (drums and mallets), and even more in high school music with Mr. Perelstein. Orchestra includes Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass.
